Issue: Claude Code crashes with "panic: incorrect alignment. oh no: bun has crashed" after being idle

  • Operating system: Windows (native / WSL - specify which)
  • Installation method: Native installer
  • Claude Code version: [run claude --version to get this]

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Claude Code
  2. Leave it idle without interaction for [2-5 minutes/hours]
  3. Return to find the crash error

Expected behavior: Claude Code should remain stable during idle periods.
