[BUG] Set Claude Code working, returned to find no terminal window (closed itself), and claude is no longer installed

Environment

• Claude CLI version: lol there is no claude installed now, but it auto-updates now so must have been ≈todays version Tue Jun 24.
• Operating System: macOS 15.3
• Terminal: IntelJIdea

Bug Description

I set Claude Code about running a task and stepped away. When I returned, the IntelJIdea terminal window was closed. On opening the terminal window, there is no "claude" command available. It's. Just. Gone.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Run Claude Code
2. Tell it to work on a problem
3. ???

Actual Behavior

Claude crashed in such a way as to "take itself out".

Expected Behavior

Not that.
