Paste Text Handling Causes Application Freeze on Rapid Enter Keypress

Bug Description
When I paste long text and see the [x lines pasted] etc line, if I press <cr>/enter/return too quickly after pasting it will freeze Claude code. I need to kill the CC process by pid and restart and /resume to keep going
