[Bug] Manual compaction fails with "Conversation too long" error when auto-compact enabled

Bug Description
compact is turned on but it's not auto compacted. Then when I tried to compact manually it said "Error during compaction: Error: Conversation too long. Press esc twice to go up a few messages and try again."
