Context compaction triggers much more frequently with Opus 4.6

Description

Since upgrading to Opus 4.6, context compaction occurs significantly more frequently than it did with previous models. This reduces effective context utilization and interrupts workflow.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use Claude Code with Opus 4.6 as the model
  2. Work through a normal session with typical tool use
  3. Observe compaction triggering much earlier/more often than with previous Opus versions

Expected Behavior

Compaction frequency similar to previous model versions.
