Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

From 2.1.20 client version it completely hides the ability to see what file the client reads unless you go verbose with is an unreadable nightmare for day to day use...
Claude regularly (as in every day) read wrong files and now its impossible to catch it...
Its currently preventing me to upgrade because i cant trust the client.

Please fix this regression and offer transparency for the users with a flag/setting/whatever.
Thank you.

Proposed Solution

Please fix this regression and offer transparency for the users with a flag/setting/whatever to allow for seeing what file are read and not just "Read x number of files"...

Thank you.

Alternative Solutions

It shouldnt be hard as it was standard for the entire clients life cycle from v0 up to v2.1.20.

Its currently preventing me to upgrade because i cant trust the client.

Priority

Critical - Blocking my work

Feature Category

CLI commands and flags

Use Case Example

Do literally any file read whatsoever and you are unable to track it anymore.
I just want to see "read apps.ts" instead of "read 1 file"... it compounds for every additional file read.
