[Bug Report] Model selection command requires two submissions to work in Claude Code CLI

Bug Description
model selector is broken in that when I select a different model, it still has /model when the screen goes back to the prompt, second time it works
-- bonus /feedback quits as I write (usually more than two words, perhaps a number of characters)
