Japanese Text Input: End Key Navigation Broken for Multibyte Characters

Bug Description
On lines containing multibyte characters, the End key no longer moves the caret to the end of the line. This used to work before. I suspect the caret movement destination is now based on character count instead of byte count.

The same issue is occurring in Windows 11 (Windows Terminal) + WSL (Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS) environment as well. (Claude Code version: 1.0.31)
This is inconvenient when inputting Japanese, so I'd really appreciate if this could be fixed soon.
