[Bug] High CPU usage and input lag during idle state

Bug Description
My claude code instance is sitting idle, yet using a lot of CPU. Additionally, typing in the prompt is very laggy. This happens more frequently recently it seems. It took me a couple minutes just to type this short feedback statement.
