I use Claude Code with a Pro subscription and also have API credits in my console account.
It would be helpful to have unified authentication that allows access to both plans simultaneously. This way, I could seamlessly fall back to API credits when my Pro plan usage limit is reached, rather than having to log out and log back in to switch between the two options.
Alternatively, being able to switch accounts would also work.

I second this!
https://support.anthropic.com/en/articles/11145838-using-claude-code-with-your-pro-or-max-plan <-- according to this - there is a way. But I don't think I was ever prompted (can't remember rejecting it) for API usage when I hit the rate limit
The article shared above notes you can switch when on the Max plan. I'd like to be able to dynamically switch from the Pro plan.
For my projects, the ability to use Claude Code with a fixed-rate Pro account for normal usage, with a seamless fallback to my API credits to cover overages during heavier CC usage (dev weeks etc), would be ideal.
I have my own projects for my personal account - then I also have my enterprise account for work.
Please allow me to easily switch without having to re-login and regenerate a token each time.
This is not a unique situation. Please let folks switch between work and personal easily.

Hi - thank you for the feedback! We now support adding extra usage to your Pro and Max account via https://claude.ai/settings/usage so that if you hit subscription rate limits, you can seamlessly fallback to paying per-token until your rate limit resets. We do not currently have plans to merge the billing between Console and Claude since we think the native support for extra usage within Claude.ai will be more seamless for you
