Claude Chrome not working in Brave Browser (Chrome-based) via stable Claude Code CLI v2.1.17

Versions:

• Claude Code v2.1.17 (stable)
• Brave 1.86.146 (Official Build) (arm64), Chromium: 144.0.7559.110

Running Claude Code via claude --chrome shows it's connected, but fails to use tabs_context tools:

The extension is enabled in Brave, works in browser, but not from Claude Code CLI
