Autocomplete Failure: Typing the @ Symbol and parts of the file name, does not list the intended files

Bug Description
when typing the @ character there are many files that cannot be found by typing parts of their filename

Environment Info

• Platform: darwin
• Terminal: cursor
• Version: 1.0.27

in the recording:
the file is visible to claude through the vs code extension
claude can read the file when prompted with a file path
when typing @, the file cannot be found:
