Intermittent Claude Branding Insertion in Commit/PR Messages

it's literally written into the system prompt, good luck getting it to forget that:

So I paid 200 month and still have to see ads?

You can disable this in your settings.json file. Add a file to ~/.claude/settings.json like:

In which version? I'm running 1.0.31 and still get the co-authored commit messages.

it's listed in the docs page cited, but the cli doesn't appear to recognize this

@RickCogley are you able to get it working by adding it to your settings.json?

Unsure. I added it to my global config and that worked 90%. Then I learned about the setting in the docs and tried adding from cli but it fails to recognize the key.
