Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 23, 2026 by FA-Rossi Closed Jan 26, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Environment:

  • macOS on Mac Intel without AVX
  • Claude Code 2.1.15

Error:
warn: CPU lacks AVX support, strange crashes may occur. Reinstall Bun or use *-baseline build:
https://github.com/oven-sh/bun/releases/download/bun-v1.3.6/bun-darwin-x64-baseline.zip
error: Invalid DNS result order.

Workaround:
Downgrade to 2.1.12 works.

Expected:
2.1.15 should work on Macs without AVX, as 2.1.12 did.

What Should Happen?

open and work with Claude code . But it did not started

Error Messages/Logs

I only got the new message:

"error: Invalid DNS result order."

and the app do not start.

Steps to Reproduce

I run Claude yesterday, it worked.
I try again today, I got the new error:
error: Invalid DNS result order.

Claude Model

None

Is this a regression?

Yes, this worked in a previous version

Last Working Version

2.1.12

Claude Code Version

2.1.15

Platform

Anthropic API

Operating System

macOS

Terminal/Shell

Terminal.app (macOS)

Additional Information

I wish I do not have to do a downgrade every new version auto-installed

IMPORTANT

I had to flag the "I am using the latest version of Claude Code" BECAUSE OTHERWISE I COULD NOT OPEN THE ISSE.
BUT I CAN NOT OPEN THE LAST VERSION, because of the bug I am reporting.
This flag is useless
