Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 17, 2026 by ItsJustMeChris Closed Feb 28, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)

What's Wrong?

When using claude code and (ralph loops?); claude-code instances terminated SOMEHOW STAY RUNNING

Agents killed continue to write and touch files magically with no way to stop them. Force closing terminal persists them running.

What Should Happen?

No agents continue to work.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

I started a claude code.
Ran a ralph loop.
Canceled claude code. (Terminal also crashed at some point, system ran out of memory, unsure what instance is running and doing stuff)...
Claude continues to work in the background in a way thats not visibly clear, system reboot or activity monitor force killing would be required to find and stop it.

Claude Model

Opus

Is this a regression?
