[BUG] tmpclaude-*-cwd files
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Jan 14, 2026 by proferit Closed Jan 14, 2026
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
For the past few days, Claude Code has been creating files in various directories (not just the working directory) whose names follow the pattern tmpclaude-<dynamic>-cwd and whose content consists of a single line containing the directory name in a strange notation. This is problematic, especially as these files are accumulating.
What Should Happen?
These files should no longer be created or should be deleted automatically by Claude Code.
