[BUG] CLI freezes after Ctrl+C, becomes completely unresponsive

What's Wrong?
CLI freezes after Ctrl+C, becomes completely unresponsive
Environment: macOS Tahoe 26.2 M3Pro
Expected: Ctrl+C should cleanly cancel and return to input prompt
Actual: Complete freeze requiring force quit
This has happened multiple times.

⏺ Background command "Start local server" failed with exit code 137.
Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce:
- Start typing a prompt
- Press Shift+Enter (trying to add newline)
- Press Ctrl+C to cancel
- CLI becomes frozen - no input accepted, commands don't work
- Pressing Escape shows recent requests but they're not interactive
- Eventually crashes to terminal
