[BUG] Claude Desktop hung on large pdf

What's Wrong?

In Claude desktop on MacOS. Asked Claude to review a pdf (which was ~5MB) and got this:

PDF too large. Please double press esc to edit your message and try again.

is this a bug in Claude desctop?

What Should Happen?

Claude should report: PDF too large. and not hang up
