[BUG] on ghostty + tmux /terminal-setup stopped fixing Shift+enter

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I use tmux inside ghostty.
Running /terminal-setup with a previous version of claude code on one computer made shift+enter works.
Then with a newer version of claude code on a second computer, I could not make it work without adding keybind = shift+enter=text:\x1b\r manually to my ghostty config.

Claude code now support ghostty natively and the /terminal-setup won't run in ghostty, but the setup is still required for shift+enter to work inside ghostty with tmux.

Alternatively the instructions could suggest an entry to my tmux config.

What Should Happen?

Shift+enter should work on ghostty + tmux
