[Bug] Claude Code crashes on Linux kernel 6.14.0, blocking CLI access for Max subscribers

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 9, 2026 by Yanwan93 Closed Mar 6, 2026

Bug Description

  1. Official Claude Code CLI has never worked reliably
  • Constant crashes on Linux (kernel 6.14.0)
  • The client is unusable for productive work
  1. Third-party alternatives (e.g. OpenCode) have been blocked
  • OAuth authentication no longer works for these clients
  • These were my only working option to use Claude via CLI

CURRENT SITUATION:

  • Your official client crashes constantly
  • You are actively blocking alternatives that actually work
  • I have no way to use CLI with my Max subscription

Environment Info

  • Platform: linux
  • Terminal: gnome-terminal
  • Version: 2.1.2
  • Feedback ID: 20e036ae-d3b7-484b-b25b-b8c44b7894d3
