What's Wrong?
When I use Claude Code on the terminal (Ghostty) I get helpful desktop notifications when it needs my input or has completed its response. This is great! However, the Claude Code VSCode extension doesn't show any desktop notifications. This is a bummer.
What Should Happen?
The Claude Code VSCode extension should show desktop notifications for the same scenarios that the terminal app does.
Steps to Reproduce
- Start the Claude Code VSCode extension.
- Enter a query that would trigger a desktop notification in the Claude Code terminal app, e.g. presenting the user with multiple options or completing a task.
- Observe that no desktop notifications appear.

Sonnet (default)
