Bug Description
I am currently using another well known terminal agent in addition to claude code. I would love to replace it fully for claude code but the problem is that I cant yet fully substitute my terminal use for claude code completely. To solve this issue, I would like to propose a "bash mode on" toggle mode just like "plan mode on"/"accepts edits on"/"bypass permissions on" modes. In this mode, ideally speaking, any command that a user types in would go directly to the terminal emulator but still be added to the context as input tokens. Claude would have the ability to intervene and ask the user for help, offer completions or even propose the next terminal command to assist the user in their terminal session. The biggest problem this solves is that currently, "bash mode" is very limited. I need to type ! before every time I want to use it, auto complete doesn't work (a big problem) and it doesn't seem to be the case that claude code compliments this mode to the fullest potential. As a relatively early adopter of claude code, I think that i have been using it long enough to realize this is a big missing feature that could provide amazing functionality and capability to myself and other users who have learned to love and depend on claude code for their everyday use. Thanks for considering this, and keep making cool shit and transforming the world of computing :)
