Startup error: Failed to install MCP servers from Anthropic marketplace

Description

On every startup, Claude Code attempts to install MCP servers "from Anthropic marketplace" and fails with an error. All manually-configured MCP servers connect fine.

Environment

• OS: Windows 11 (Build 26100.7462)
• Claude Code version: 2.0.75
• Account: Signed up through Anthropic Console/API

Reproduction

1. Start Claude Code
2. Error appears before prompt about failing to install marketplace MCP servers

Relevant info

• Statsig cache shows fromMarketplace: true feature flag (gate ID 3148619311)
• Deleting the statsig cache doesn't fix it - flag is set at account level
• 19 custom MCP servers all connect successfully
• Error is cosmetic but appears on every startup

Expected behavior

Either:

1. The marketplace MCP servers should exist and install successfully, OR
2. The feature should be disabled/gracefully handled for accounts where it doesn't apply

Workaround

None found - the feature flag is server-side.
