[DOCS] Page not found for 2 links on README

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Dec 20, 2025 by MikeBruns Closed Dec 20, 2025

Documentation Type

Missing documentation (feature not documented)

Documentation Location

https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/docs/claude-code/overview

Section/Topic

Header and Data collection, usage, and retention

Current Documentation

The documentation in the README shows the correct text but the hyperlink does not bring you to a friendly page.

What's Wrong or Missing?

2 hyperlinks on the README brings you to claude.com and shows a "Not Found page" when clicking:

  1. "Official documentation" in the header section
  2. "data usage policies" in the Data collection, usage, and retention

Suggested Improvement

The README should update the 2 hyperlinks to pages with relevant information.

  1. "Official documentation" would hyperlink to a resourceful starting point like https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/home
  2. "data usage policies" would hyperlink to https://code.claude.com/docs/en/data-usage

Impact

Low - Minor confusion or inconvenience

Additional Context

I would be interested in submitting a PR diff changes of suggestions: https://github.com/MikeBruns/claude-code/commit/85670a04ba79211531737a77ed2416bb10998e53
