[Feature Request] Make vi mode keybindings configurable or disableable

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Dec 10, 2025 by jgoerner Closed Dec 13, 2025

Bug Description
I love claude code and I love vim BUT I have my own keymapping around ctrl+g spawning a quick tmux switcher. With ctrl+g being hardcoded to edit prompt via vi, I alwayls have to create a fresh tmux pane before my shortcut works again. I'd love for claude code to have the vi mode being configurable (either disable or remap keys)
