Despite thinking being enabled, I can not run slash-commands due to clear_thinking_20251015 strategy

Bug Description

 API Error: 400 {"type":"error","error":{"type":"invalid_request_error","message":"`clear_thinking_20251015` strategy requires `thinking` to be

I am getting this error now when running slash-commands in some projects, even with thinking enabled.
I got this error before when thinking was not enabled, which annoyed me also, since I only enable thinking when I need it.
After some research Claude told me I am in some kind of A/B testing. Which I actually don't mind, but forcing me to spend 50% more due to thinking is not good UX.

My suggestion: DO NOT force the user to enable thinking from a user perspective this is something you enable when you have complex problems, as described.
