[BUG] Claude Code requires Nod js 18 or higher

What's Wrong?

With version 2.0.36, I was running Claude Code for VS Code Extension smoothly. However, after auto updating to v2.0.37, Claude Code for VS Code requires Node js to run.

What Should Happen?

Dont require Node js as I have installed Git.

Error Messages/Logs

Claude code requires Node js 18 or higher to run.

Steps to Reproduce

I had v2.0.36, VsCode auto installed update to v2.0.37. Just after I received the Node js issue, if i revert back to v2.0.36, the issue seems to dissapear
