[BUG] VS Code extension font issue on Intel

What's Wrong?

Using the "Claude Code for VS Code" extension, the problem is that all the characters in the extension controls - the tabs and any option buttons for approving changes - are appearing with all characters being question marks enclosed in boxes. The actual text from Claude is normal, but once I get to the point of accepting changes, I can't read any of the choice buttons. (see attached images)

Claude told me to include:
extension Version: 2.0.27
OS: MacOS 15.7.1 (24G231) Darwin 24.6.0
Issue: Extension controls render as question mark boxes. Content is fine. Tested on Apple silicon - not seeing it there. Restart, uninstall/reinstall, etc. not fixing it.

What Should Happen?

Expect the controls to have ordinary characters.

1. Install VS Code extension
2. Click the Claude "spark" to open the panel.
3. Notice that the drop-down for prior conversations is all [?]
4. Ask Claude to make a code change requiring approval - note button labels are [?]
