Problem Statement

I dictate almost every message, so these hurt a lot:

My words no longer appear while I speak. Before, the transcript filled the message box live, so I could spot mistakes as I talked. That was my favorite part of dictating in Claude, and the main reason I prefer it to ChatGPT, where I can’t see my words. Please bring it back, or make it a setting.
The waveform pushes the text sideways. Every time I start or stop the mic, the waveform appears or disappears and the whole message shifts left, then back. When I stop the mic to fix something I just noticed, it has moved. The waveform should sit on top of the text or in space that’s always reserved for it, so the text never moves.
Typing during dictation duplicates the text. If I type anything while the mic is on, even a single comma, the dictated text shows up twice: once before what I typed and once after. Typing and dictating at the same time should give one copy of each, in the order they happened.
