Description

The file viewer in the Claude Code desktop app (Code tab) shows 1C:Enterprise source files (.bsl, and OneScript .os) as plain text, with no keyword, string or comment coloring. There is no way to add a language or map a file extension to an existing grammar, and the viewer does not support extensions.

1C:Enterprise is widely used in Eastern Europe and Canada. Configuration dumps (XML + .bsl modules) are plain text that Claude Code reads and edits well, but reviewing the result in the viewer is hard without highlighting.

Request

  1. Add built-in highlighting for BSL (1C:Enterprise script, including the embedded query language) for *.bsl and *.os.
  2. Optionally, add a setting to map file extensions to a language, or to load a custom TextMate grammar, so other niche languages can be covered without app changes.

Ready-made grammar

MIT-licensed TextMate grammars already exist and power the VS Code extension "Language 1C (BSL)" (xDrivenDevelopment.language-1c-bsl):

Environment

  • Claude Code desktop app, Windows 11
  • Files: 1C configuration XML dump with .bsl modules (e.g. Ext/Module.bsl, Ext/ObjectModule.bsl, Ext/Form/Module.bsl)
