[BUG] Desktop: session header no longer shows the working folder name
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
The session header in the Code tab no longer shows the session's working folder. Until a recent update there was a chip with the folder name at the top of each session, next to the title. Now the header shows only the title and the pane buttons.
I work with several sessions side by side in split view, each in a different project folder. Without the folder name I can't tell which project a session belongs to. The folder now appears only in the "Started on This computer · <folder>" line at the very top of the transcript, which scrolls out of view.
What Should Happen?
The folder (project) name is visible in the session header again, or there is a setting to show it.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open two Code sessions in different folders in split view.
- Look at the header of each pane: nothing shows which folder the session works in.
Is this a regression?
Yes, this worked in a previous version.
Last Working Version
Not sure of the exact build; it was there earlier in October 2026.
