The docs say Cmd+C copies a fullscreen selection in iTerm2, but it does nothing there (Ctrl+Shift+C works). Claude Code 2.1.295, iTerm2 3.7.4, Left Command = Super.

Claude Code sends CSI < u, CSI > 5u, then CSI > 4;2m. iTerm2 clears the kitty flags on CSI > 4 m and falls back to modifyOtherKeys mode, which never reports Cmd keys.

Repro in iTerm2 (press Cmd+C):

  • printf '\e[<u\e[>1u\e[>4;2m'; cat -v prints nothing.
  • printf '\e[<u\e[>4;2m\e[>1u'; cat -v prints ^[[99;9u.

Fix: send CSI > 4;2m before the kitty push. This changes nothing on Ghostty or kitty, and fixes iTerm2.
