[BUG] Remote Control: web view of a desktop-served session stops receiving output — messages are processed and answered, but nothing (not even "Thinking…") reaches claude.ai/code, even after reload

What's Wrong?

I have a Code session that was started from claude.ai/code over Remote Control and runs in the Claude desktop app. Its web view has stopped receiving anything new.

• Web → session works. Messages I type on claude.ai/code reach the session. The desktop transcript shows that the session processed each one and replied.
• Session → web is broken. None of those replies appear on the web, and neither does any "Thinking…" indicator. Reloading the page and reopening the session on the web shows nothing new.
• Messages from the desktop side are invisible too. A message injected into the session from another desktop session (the app's send_message) was delivered and answered: the turn completed with a reply. Neither the message nor the reply ever appeared on the web.
• The desktop side is healthy. The session shows idle / done (success), Remote Control state on and remoteControlActive: true. The session itself even noticed and said "I replied every time; maybe the messages aren't showing on your side."

How it started: earlier, a turn ended on an AskUserQuestion call that I never saw on the web, and my following messages appeared to get no answer. Stopping that turn from the desktop made the session idle again. After that, new turns ran fine on the desktop, but the web view never caught up.

The session's web URL id also seems unknown to the desktop. Looking up the session_… id from the claude.ai/code URL with the desktop app's session-management tools returned "not found". The session is listed only under its local_… id. This matches a comment in #51267.

What Should Happen?

• The web view of a Remote Control session shows the session's turns: replies, progress and pending questions.
• If the web view loses its stream, it reconnects or says it's disconnected. It shouldn't keep silently accepting messages whose answers it will never show.

Steps to Reproduce

I don't have a minimal repro. This is the sequence I hit:

1. Start a Code session from claude.ai/code (web) while the Claude desktop app on macOS has Remote Control on. The desktop reports startedViaRemoteControl: true.
2. Work for a long time; the session has more than 7,000 transcript messages.
3. The model calls AskUserQuestion. It isn't visible on the web, and follow-up messages seem unanswered.
4. Stop the turn from the desktop.
5. From then on, web messages are processed and answered on the desktop, but no reply or status ever shows on the web, even after a reload.
