What happened
Remote Control sessions in a Claude Project keep blocking approved actions with Trusted devices OFF.

Setup: a private Claude Project whose coordinator starts Remote Control sessions on my Mac in an approved repo folder, with Claude Code in auto mode. Trusted devices is off in settings.

What happens: when I approve something in the project chat, the coordinator relays my message to the Mac thread, and the Mac session refuses it. Examples from 2026-10-13: “It did not reach me as a message from you, so I have not acted on it” (17:12 UTC), and the auto-mode check refused a settings edit as “self-modification on a relayed approval” (18:35 UTC). Routine local steps like git commit and launchctl were blocked the same way until I typed yes inside each thread. I had to add allow rules to .claude/settings.local.json to get anything done.

Expected: with Trusted devices off, my approval in the project chat should be enough, without me opening each thread to type it again.

After restarting Claude it still happens: a fresh test session at 22:31 UTC stopped on an approval prompt for a harmless settings edit that I had approved through the coordinator.
