[BUG] VS Code extension: after "Show more" on a long pasted prompt, "Show less" is unreachable (chat cannot scroll far enough)

What's Wrong?

In the VS Code extension, a long pasted prompt is shown collapsed with a "Show more" button. Clicking "Show more" expands the message, but after that I can't get to a "Show less" control to collapse it again. The chat won't scroll any lower, so the bottom of the expanded message, where I'd expect "Show less" to be, seems to sit underneath the chat input box.

The message then stays expanded and I have no way to collapse it.

What Should Happen?

After expanding a long message I should be able to collapse it again. Either the chat should scroll far enough to bring "Show less" above the input box, or the toggle should stay reachable some other way (for example at the top of the message, or pinned while the message is expanded).

Error Messages/Logs

None. This is a layout/scrolling problem, not an error.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open a Claude Code chat in the VS Code extension.
2. Paste a long prompt (mine contained pasted log output, a few dozen lines) and send it.
3. The sent message is shown collapsed with a "Show more" button. Click "Show more".
4. The message expands. Scroll to the very bottom of the chat.
5. There is no visible "Show less" button, and the chat can't be scrolled any further down.

Claude Model

Not model-related (UI issue).

Is this a regression?

I don't know.

Additional Information

This looks related to, but is not the same as:

• #80672 (open): long pasted prompts render fully expanded with no collapse control at all. In my case the collapse/expand control exists and "Show more" works; it's only "Show less" that can't be reached afterwards.
• #85505 (closed): scrollbar stops short of the end of the chat after long pasted content. That may be the same underlying cause, since here too the chat can't be scrolled down far enough.
