Request: let cloud Claude Code sessions use GitHub Projects (v2) for a connected repo's organization
Setup: Claude Code on the web / Projects threads, with the GitHub repo 12vBiz/12vBiz connected. Our task tracking lives on the org-level GitHub Project board (orgs/12vBiz/projects/1).
What happens: Repo-level REST calls work (issues, PRs, comments, workflow dispatch). Anything that touches the Project board is blocked by the session proxy:
POST api.github.com/graphqlreturns 403: "GitHub GraphQL is not available from Claude Code sessions"GET api.github.com/orgs/12vBiz/projectsV2/1returns 403: "sessions are bound to their configured repositories"- The same 403 comes back even when the request carries our own GitHub token, so adding a token to the cloud environment doesn't help.
Impact: Claude can file issues from a cloud session, but it can't add them to the board, set Status or Priority, or read the board to pick the next task. The only workaround is running a Remote Control session on my Mac where gh is signed in, which defeats the point of working from the cloud or my phone.
Ask: Allow GitHub Projects v2 access (GraphQL project queries and mutations, plus the orgs/{org}/projectsV2 REST endpoints) for the organization that owns a connected repo. An opt-in toggle in the environment or project settings would be fine.
Thanks!
