What happened
When Claude Code runs in the cloud (Claude app / claude.ai/code / Projects), every GitHub comment, review, issue and PR it writes gets a "Generated by Claude Code" footer, plus Co-Authored-By and session lines on commits. The platform adds the footer even when the session is told not to, so there is no way to switch it off.

My setup: I have a written rule saying no AI attribution on GitHub. Claude can't honour it, so every cloud thread flags the footer, and the comment history fills up with boilerplate that makes the prose messy.

I understand the transparency reason and I'm not asking for it to go away by default. I'm asking for an opt-out I own:

  1. An account or project setting to turn off the GitHub footer and commit attribution lines in cloud sessions, the same way "includeCoAuthoredBy": false already works in the local CLI.
  2. If an opt-out isn't possible, at least respect "includeCoAuthoredBy" / attribution settings consistently between local and cloud.

The person posting is accountable for what goes on their GitHub account. I'd like to be the one who decides how it's labelled.
