I'm on Ubuntu Server on a Supermicro with AMD Epyc platform (64 cores, around 560 GB ECC RAM)
Thanks to the new Claude Max I had a session open for quite some time, with auto compaction going on. I notice that memory usage of the claude code process is steadily growing, and the process, over time, starts to freeze during what appears to be garbage collection trying harder and harder to free up memory.
My conclusion: Claude Code CLI has a memory leak somewhere.
