What's Wrong?
Description
In an interactive Claude Code session inside Warp, scrolling with the mouse wheel
navigates prompt history (as if Up/Down arrows were pressed) instead of scrolling
the conversation. The footer shows: "Scroll wheel is sending arrow keys · use PgUp/PgDn to scroll".
Steps to reproduce
- Open Warp and run
claude. - Have a conversation long enough to require scrolling.
- Scroll up with the mouse wheel / trackpad.
Expected behavior
The conversation viewport scrolls.
Actual behavior
The prompt input cycles through history. Only PgUp/PgDn scroll the view.
Environment
- Claude Code version: 2.1.295
- Warp version: 0.2026.10.07.08.29.stable_00
- OS: macOS
- Shell: bash
- TUI mode: <fullscreen / default; check "tui" in ~/.claude/settings.json>
- CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_MOUSE set: <yes/no>
Workarounds tried
- PgUp/PgDn (Fn+Up/Down on MacBook): works
- Removing "tui": "fullscreen" from settings.json: didn't help
- CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_MOUSE=1: didn't help
