Summary
In the Claude desktop app (Code tab, Windows), holding Ctrl shows number badges (1–9) on the left of each session in the sidebar. Please add an option to hide these badges, or show them without covering the session status indicator.
Problem
- The number badges sit where I look for each session's status. While they are shown I can't tell at a glance which agent has stopped or is waiting for input.
- I don't use Ctrl+1–9 to switch sessions. I click the sessions instead, so for me the badges are only visual noise.
Proposal (any of these)
- A setting to turn off the Ctrl number hints in the sidebar.
- Show the hints only after Ctrl has been held for a short delay (as macOS does for menu shortcuts), so quick Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V doesn't trigger them.
- Place the badges so they don't hide the session status (running / waiting / stopped) indicator.
Environment
- Claude desktop app, Code tab
- Windows 11 Pro
