[BUG] Remote Control: AI-generated title replaces the name given with --name / --remote-control <name>

What's Wrong?

In a Remote Control session started with an explicit name (claude --name <name> --remote-control <name>), the name shown in the Claude phone app and on claude.ai/code is replaced by an AI-generated conversation title once the conversation has one. The documentation ranks an explicit name above the generated title, so the name is expected to stay.

Setting the title by hand with /rename <name> in the session fixes the displayed title and it survives restarts of the session. Setting CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_TERMINAL_TITLE=1 in the session's environment (so that no AI title is generated) also keeps the --name title, which suggests the generated title is what wins.

I first saw this change at 2.1.281 (the same launcher kept the name on earlier versions) and it was still present on 2.1.282. I have not re-tested on 2.1.293, because doing so means starting a new Remote Control host that would appear on a real phone; the changelog since 2.1.282 has no entry that looks like a fix for this.

What Should Happen?

The title given with --name / --remote-control <name> stays the Remote Control session title until the user renames it.

Steps to Reproduce

1. On Linux, start claude --name my-session --remote-control my-session in a project folder (tmux, interactive).
2. Open the Claude app on a phone (or claude.ai/code): the session shows as my-session.
3. Send a few prompts so that the conversation gets its generated title.
4. Refresh the session list on the phone: the generated title has replaced my-session.
5. Run /rename my-session in the session: the name is back and stays across a restart.

Is this a regression?

Yes, as far as I can tell: it worked on the versions before 2.1.281.

Impact: several long-running sessions are told apart on the phone only by their names; after the generated titles take over, they become indistinguishable. Workarounds in use: CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_TERMINAL_TITLE=1 in the launcher and a /rename after start.
