Title: Code tab no longer links GitLab MRs to sessions since app 2.19675.1 (Windows)

What happens: Local Code sessions used to get their GitLab merge request linked automatically, showing a status badge in the sidebar. Since the update to 2.19675.1 on 6 Oct 2026, no new session gets an MR linked. Nothing changed on my side: same working folder, same workflow, self-hosted GitLab at gitlab.htrak.com.

Evidence (from the session data files):

| App version | Sessions | MR linked |
|---|---|---|
| 2.7032.0 – 2.16120.0 | 27 | 15 |
| 2.19675.0 | 15 | 13 |
| 2.19675.1 | 14 | 0 |
| 2.26454.0 / 2.26454.2 | 43 | 0 |

  • Sessions that worked have a field like prs: {provider: "gitlab", host: "gitlab.htrak.com", url: ".../-/merge_requests/343", state: "MERGED"}. Sessions from 2.19675.1 onwards have no prs field at all.
  • The MR links were never made by hand (no bind_pr calls), so automatic detection is what broke.
  • Ruled out: glab is logged in and API calls to gitlab.htrak.com work. Re-authenticating the expired gitlab.com token and authorizing the GitLab MCP connector made no difference.

Environment: Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26300, Claude desktop (MSIX) 2.26454.2, Claude Code CLI 2.1.293, glab 1.57.0, working folder D:\repos-d (a plain folder holding several git repos, not a repo itself).

Expected: Sessions that open or review an MR on gitlab.htrak.com show its status in the sidebar, as they did up to 2.19675.0.
