What's Wrong?
Auto-update removes the macOS Desktop (Space) assignment for Claude
What Should Happen?
After an auto-update restart, Claude reopens on its assigned Desktop, as it does after a normal quit and relaunch.
Error Messages/Logs
- Before the update, `defaults read com.apple.spaces app-bindings` showed:
"com.anthropic.claudefordesktop" = "206607E2-1EDE-82E2-3FCB-D589B6B06F24";
That UUID matches Desktop 4 in SpacesDisplayConfiguration.
- After the update, the com.anthropic.claudefordesktop entry was missing from app-bindings.
- With the binding in place, Cmd-Q and relaunching from the Dock while on another Desktop correctly switches to Desktop 4. Only the update clears it.
- This has happened on more than one update.
