[Bug] Fable advisor usage not counted toward Team plan weekly Fable limit
Bug Description
Fable advisor usage may not count toward the Fable weekly limit (Team plan)
Setup
- Claude Code, Team plan. Main model: Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5). Advisor model: Fable 5.1 (claude-fable-5-1).
- Settings > Usage shows three bars: "Current session", weekly "All models", and weekly "Fable". It has no "Usage credits"
section.
Observed
- Token usage for one session with advisor calls:
claude-opus-5-5: 54.3k input, 252.4k output, 78.6m cache read, 816.4k cache write ($26.36)
claude-fable-5-1: 1.6m input, 50.7k output, 0 cache read, 0 cache write ($18.69)
- While the advisor is in use, "Current session" goes up but the "Fable" weekly bar does not appear to move.
- Values at the time of the screenshot: Current session 2%, All models 13%, Fable 2%.
Expected (per docs)
- https://code.claude.com/docs/en/advisor:
▎ Advisor usage counts toward your plan's usage limits, except that a Fable advisor bills to usage credits on plans where
Fable usage does
- This plan has its own Fable weekly limit and no usage credits, so that exception should not apply. Fable advisor tokens
should count toward the plan's limits. The docs do not say whether this includes the Fable-specific bar.
- No changelog entry mentions this behavior.
Repro
1. Write down the three usage bars in Settings > Usage.
2. Make several advisor calls with Fable as the advisor model.
3. Refresh the usage page and compare.
Status
- Not yet confirmed with a controlled before/after test. The current report is based on observation.
